MOVING FORWARD
AFTER DIVORCE:
NOW IN SPANISH
The Center's newest book title for divorce care is
entitled "Moving Forward After Divorce" --
based on the popular national divorce-recovery
seminar offered by two of the Center's primary
teaching presenters, Dr. David and Lisa Frisbie.
In addition to the English-language resource
published by Harvest House of Eugene, Oregon
the new book is now also published in Spanish,
as "Salga Adelante Despues del Divorcio" and is
being released by Strang Communications.
After more than two decades of learning from
divorced persons, the Center's new project was
nearly four years in the making, bringing
together case studies, personal interviews, and
relevant information from various disciplines.
Available now at major on-line retailers, the
book is drawing consistent, positive attention
for its inclusion of helpful, specific strategies
about topics such as parenting adolescents,
returning to a former career or finding a new
one, and dealing with difficult ex-spouses.
Filled with useful and positive information
drawn from real-life situations, the book's focus
is entirely practical. How can a person experience
the pain and trauma of divorce, yet still find the
courage and hope to begin moving forward?
The book explores topics such as:
Rediscovering Former Skills or
Exploring New Ones
Learning How to Parent Alone
Coping with Financial Stress
Making Wise Decisions
Dealing with Difficult Ex-Spouses
as well as many other challenges faced by persons
who are struggling to move forward after divorce.
Programs & Resources:
Since the late 1980's, the Center has developed
educational programs and training resources
aimed at promoting healing, happiness, and
hope for persons who have experienced divorce.
With awareness of the spiritual, emotional, legal
and financial challenges faced by divorced
persons, the Center's primary activity has been
directed at helping divorced persons achieve
healing and personal growth. Special attention
has been focused on the development of useful
strategies for raising healthy children after the
end of a marriage relationship.
Events and programs sponsored and supported
by the Center include post-divorce recovery
workshops, conferences and seminars for single
parents, and other sessions hosted by divorce
care professionals with expertise in legal,
financial, spiritual, emotional or other areas.
